Vice Principal's Message

VICE PRINCIPAL SPEAKS

My dear Parents and beloved CKCians,

The Holy Scripture says, “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

It’s been nearly two months as the Vice Principal and now I can say with an assurance that CKC is not just an educational institute but a reservoir and repository of intellectual students and teachers. Being the Vice Principal of this prestigious college, I feel truly humbled because CKCians have warmly welcomed me in their hearts and have made me a part of this blessed CKC family. It is an honour and privilege to work with Principal Rev. Fr. Franky Mathias who is not only an excellent educationist but also a very loving and caring Priest. Under his guidance, CKC will scale new heights for sure.

I firmly believe that students should be encouraged to care about learning with passion. As lifelong learners we decide what, when, and how we learn. If we can the desire for success in our students early on, then they'll be unstoppable. So what do we teach about pursuing success? I always tell CKCians that success is not a matter of desire but the product of hard work.

I come to you with the wisdom of experience as an educator, I hail from a family of educators, so I have been around this teaching vocation all of my priesthood life. Moreover, I have graciously gathered the priceless pearls of wisdom from the legendary Principals like Rev. Fr. Tony Sammut and Rev. Fr. N. D. Augustine and of course all my able mentors.

One of the world's greatest humanitarians was Saint Mother Teresa. Great as she was, even she said, "We can do no great things, only small things with great love." So start small; begin at the beginning and make a great change one step at a time. It's important to build on previous successes gradually and carefully, preserving the progress of every previous step. That's how greatness manifests. Every CKCian should have some qualities like sound focus on goals, dedicated determination, strong commitment and willingness for hardworking to succeed. Also, they should have to take challenges bravely rather than focusing on problems. To keep our students motivated and inspired to do better on their way of life we as teachers must love and encourage them.

Along with the dedicated and experienced teaching fraternity, I will strive hard to continue the long lasting legacy of success established by my worthy predecessors. We will focus on character building, meaningful educational innovations and moral upbringing.

Education is the rocket which will propel you towards success. All you have to do is have an aim and work on everything that takes to get a lift-off.If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.

The Word of the Lord says,“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” Stay blessed! Do come and share your problems that we may work together for the betterment of your child.

Yours sincerely,
Fr. Lawrence Xavier
